Roles, software
Administrator- May use all functions within a Portal including assigning Roles to all Users.
Organizer - May create, edit anything on a Portal; may act as Moderator or Presenter.
Moderator - May use any In-Event features (e.g., Start/Stop, Managing Questions, Posting Files, etc.); may act as Presenter. Non-Users may be given Guest Moderator access on a per-event basis.
Presenter - May use any In-Event features except Start/Stop. Non-Users may be given Guest Presenter access on a per-event basis.
Roles, general reference
Attendee - Invitee or Registrant who joins an Event, live or on-demand.
Audience - Alternative for a) Attendees or B) intended Invitees.
Invitee - Someone who has been invited to register or attend an Event.
Guest - Any Presenter or Moderator who is not otherwise a User.
Non-Attendee- Someone who registered but did not attend.
Participant- Generically, any role in an Event.
Presentation Team - All Users and Guests involved in delivering a live event.
Registrant- Someone who has registered (RSVP’d).
User- Any User of EventBuilder software with allocated Role and permissions; Users are subject to EventBuilder Terms of Service.
Engagement Tools - Features that enable Registrant/Attendee interaction.
Disclaimer- Informational text displayed during the registration process.
Opt-In - Option to require agreement via a checkbox, e.g., “I agree toreadthe report in advance of the class,” “I understand this event is being recorded."
Files Documents made available to Attendees before, during, or after any Event; may be any file type.
Handraise - Attendee ability to raise/lower a "hand" indicator to be seen by the Presentation Team.
Poll - Multiple-choice Question (see “Questions”) with two or more possible answers; may be single- or multi-select.
Registration Questions - Questions used on a Registration Page (see “Questions”).
Survey - Use of multiple Questions (see “Questions”); may use any Question Type, usually more than one at a time; may be used End-of-Event, or Post-Event.
Questions - Any query of Invitees, Registrants, Attendees, or Non-Attendees, available in any form at any time.
Question Bank- Database-drivenrepository of Questions for use/re-use in Templates and/or Events.
Question Name - Internally-facing short designation given to identify a question that makes it easier to see, manage, and report on. e.g., Question: "What is your title?" Internally-facing designation: 'Title"
Question Text - Question as will be seen by the Audience.
Question Type - The form of the question (e.g., Checkbox, Dropdown, Radio Button, Textbox)
EventBuilder Bot - Robot that joins your Live Event that enables EventBuilder software to make Recordings, create Streams, and gather intelligence for Reports.
EventBuilder Console- Features accessible to Users when managing, presenting, or moderating an event.
EventBuilder Gateway -Previousname for Portal. See "Portal."
EventBuilder Stream- Playing audio, data, or video immediately as it is received from the rather than storing it in a file on the receiving computer first.
Event page - See “Registration Page” under “Pages.”
Files- Any file (e.g., presentation slides, images, documents) available for distribution before, during, or after event. See “Engagement Tools."
Gateway - Previous EventBuilder software version's name for Portal. See "Portal."
Handouts - See “Files” under “Engagement Tools.”
Hold Image, Opening/Closing- Ability to upload an image to show to Attendees at the beginning or end of a Streaming Mode Event.
Hold Music- Ability to upload/playMP3file while Attendees are waiting for a Streaming Mode Event to begin.
Intelligence - Data, information, and/or knowledge captured for Reports.
Listing Page - See "Pages."
Pages - Any page that may be shared publicly.
Custom Page- Fully customizable web page; includes a text editor.
Listing Page - An index (list) of Registration Pages for any past or future Event; allows Audience to register for multiple events at once.
Registration Page- Individual Event page with Event description used for Audience registration.
Search Page - A search-enabled Listing Page
Portal - Instance of EventBuilder software that exists at a single domain (e.g., yourcompanyname.eventbuilder.com); previously referred to as EventBuilder Gateway.

Reports - Intelligence available by Role for one, multiple, or all Events, delivered via Excel file or web view.
Reports by Role - Intelligence for one, multiple, or all Events that are accessible by Role type.

Report Types
Attendee Report - Attendee connection data.
Multiple Event Summary Report- Snapshot of selected Events' Registrants, Attendees, and Recording Views.
Registrant Report- Detailed Registrant data displayed in a per-Registrant/per-Event format. Includes all responses to Questions.
Q&A Report - Live Event question and answer log.
Role- A User on a Portal. (See "Roles, Software")

Tag- Identifier assigned to an Event used to display on one or more Listing Pages. Can also be used as an additional filter when pulling Reports.
Template- Foundation for Administrators and Organizers to set and control the layout, style, branding, and functionality of events.
Software, non-features
Button - What a User clicks on to take a defined action.
Event- Any instance of content for Attendee consumption, live or on-demand.
Instance - A distinct occurrence of something (e.g., a single Event as one ofmultipleEvents).
Login - Noun, location to enter credentials (distinct from “log in").
Webinar Mode- Add Registration Pages and Listing Pages, automated cloud-based recording and sharing, and robust Reports to Microsoft Teams.
Streaming Mode - Using EventBuilder’s Attendee Console: Browser-based/no download required, desktop sharing, polls/interactions, “see” your attendees in real time, present from Microsoft Teams.
Simulated-Live Mode - Play pre-recorded content while interacting with your audience in real-time with Engagement Tools.
On-Demand Mode- Add Registration, survey Questions, and Files to webinar Recordings and/or your own uploaded video content.
Multiple Events - More than one Event, not necessarily of the same type.
Navigation - A set of links or buttons (e.g., “navigation at the bottom of the page” or “left-hand navigation."
Session - Synonymous with Event.
Tile - Dashboard pane displaying data snapshots.

Pre-Event - Before the Live Event.
Day of Event
Pre-Conference - Private session for the Presentation team to prepare for Event and access all technologies.
Live Event - Time when Participants are streaming content.
Post-Event - After the Live Event.

Software as a Service
EventBuilder Free Version- Add registration to Microsoft Teams. (Registrants limited to 25 per event)
EventBuilder Essential- All Free Version features plus Recording, Hosting, Unlimited Registrants. (Hosting of recordings limited to 30 days)
EventBuilder Suite- All Essential features plus integration with Microsoft Teams, additional Modes, Listing Pages, advanced Program Management features, Registration for Teams Live Events. Modes include: Streaming, Simulated-Live, and On-Demand; advanced Program Management features include Portal-Wide Reports, Upload/Replace Recordings, Hold Music, and more.
