# File Upload Requirements

*Last updated: May 11, 2023*

*For video uploads and Simulated-Live Mode in EventBuilder, **files must be under 500 MB.***

## File Upload Requirements

> - All video files must be in MP4 format - currently other formats such as .MOV and .AVI are not supported and will not stream during events.
> - Avoid special characters in the filename (e.g., & % $).
> - A high-speed internet connection.
> - A hard-wired computer (mobile uploads are not recommended.)

## File Compression Options

#### If your file is over the 500 MB limit, file compression is required to successfully upload your video to EventBuilder. You can:

> - Work with your in-house video editor to compress/convert your file.
> - Do-it-yourself with your preferred compression software.

Free programs for video conversion and compression are available.
